ZVUE: First Look
Carl Page, Chief Technology Officer Hand Held Entertainment, shows off a working prototype of the $99 ZVUE, a personal video player, that will be available nationwide in about 8 weeks. Listen to my exclusive audio interview (wmv, 5 minutes, 230K) using the Madplayer, a hand held music studio, as a digital voice recorder. (NOTE: There is a slight buzz to the audio file from increasing the volume in post production and compressing the file at 6.5Kbps)

ZVUE is Totally DroolCool.
The portable player will be a runaway hit this fall selling season.
I was the first member of the press to see and play with an actual working model.
The screen is a good size for watching videos and the sound is pure and clean.
The ZVUE! prototype rests on a pair of heardphones.
NOTE: A pair of earbuds will be included with the palm sized video player.
